As part of our ‘Meet Our Founders’ series today, we introduce Larry Kennedy, CEO of Green Solutions Group based in Salisbury, NC. Green Solutions Group is the only company in the world able to offer nontoxic tissue preservatives for use in the medical, funeral, and medical education markets.
Q: What problem are you trying to solve and what influenced you to start your company?
A: The problem is toxic chemicals have been the only option in tissue preservation for over 100 years, we think it’s time that changed. Each day millions of workers and thousands of students are exposed to formaldehyde and other toxic chemicals. We believe the use of toxic chemicals is contrary to protecting human health and the environment.
Q: What does the road ahead look like for your company?
A: The future appears very bright for GSG. Our patent was recently issued and there has been significant traction with nearly $4M in the sales pipeline. Our goal is to partner with the right distributor to enter in the global marketplace in our three targeted industries.
Q: What other passions do you have besides your business?
A: I like to play golf, play the guitar, and support my church. I also like to mentor young people and teach them that what they do matters, because it does matter. I try to instill in them the only limitations they have are the ones they impose on themselves.
