NC IDEA has an ambitious goal; to educate 100,000 North Carolinians with an entrepreneurial mindset.
One way we will do this is by broadly supporting a statewide roll out of the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program (IHEP); an experiential, problem-based program designed to inspire and engage learners in the fundamental aspects of an entrepreneurial mindset while immersing them in entrepreneurial experiences that will enable them to develop creativity and critical thinking, effective problem solving, teamwork and other entrepreneurial skills that will enable them to succeed regardless of their chosen path.
NC IDEA cannot do this alone – eventually we will need 100s of partners. Today, we are seeking 20 launch partners who want to join us in this journey by offering IHEP to their constituents. These partners will likely be entrepreneurially-minded organizations drawn from educational institutions (particularly community colleges), entrepreneurial support organizations, economic development organizations, CDFIs or government entities.
If you think you are one of the select group to help us launch, read more about our ambitions for Ice House and how to apply to be one of our Ice House Launch Partners. The deadline to apply for NC IDEA’s upcoming Ice House Facilitator Training is December 1st.
