Nexus Media ~ Skrachy

Skrachy is an all-in-one business platform designed specifically for DJs, and it is also a live music streaming service for music consumers. The Skrachy Platform consists of two major services; A digital streaming platform for DJs, and a digital music service for music consumers. Founder and CEO, Kevan Cooper saw an opportunity in the midst of COVID when his son needed help with uploading content.

MUSE Biomedical

MUSE aims to develop medical devices and technologies that prevent opioid addictions. Their goal is to empower patients, their families, and physicians with the tools necessary to ensure that pain management treatments are safe throughout the course of a prescription plan. To date, no other methods of tackling the opioid epidemic have focused on providing preventative measures to addictions that help patients and healthcare providers understand exactly how the body is responding to opioids. By identifying signs of addictions and drug tolerance, the MUSE device can help make pain treatment a more effective and safer process, for everyone involved. MUSE’s founders hail from UNC Chapel Hill and started this venture during their time at UNC’s biomedical engineering program, and participated in LAUNCH Chapel Hill.

Town of Cary

The Town of Cary, an innovative and exciting municipal partner of RIoT will be bringing its second government innovation project through the RIoT Accelerator Program this summer.  Cary has an ambitious technology project underway– one of the nation’s first municipal-run LoRa networks. Their smart cities leaders will leverage RAP to conceptualize the project as a startup venture to identify market-driven applications and operationalize the network.
