Social Cascade Joins Primordial

Social Cascade Team

Social Cascade Team: Scott McQuiggan, Lucy Kosturko, Casey Coleman, & Philippe Sabourin

We’re excited to announce that Social Cascade has joined this year’s cohort! Founded in Raleigh, Social Cascade helps healthcare providers promote trustworthy and medically sound information directly to their patients via social media. You can read more about Social Cascade at socialcascade.co

The founders Scott and Lucy originally met at NC State during their PhD programs. After graduating, they worked together at SAS on a philanthropic initiative building education products focused on early childhood. Through their research, they realized there was an unmet need for more medical information for parents of young children, and Social Cascade was born. They launched their MVP in August 2022, and have seen some early traction from pediatricians across the state.

We first met with Scott and Lucy back in March, and have been impressed with their candor, receptiveness, and passion for combatting medical misinformation on social media. Social Cascade has already received local support from NC IDEA through their SEED grant and CED’s GRO Incubator program, and we think that they are a great fit for Primordial’s support. The founders are excited for the mentorship we can provide and we’re looking forward to supporting them as they continue to grow.

From Scott McQuiggan, Co-founder and CEO of Social Cascade:

“Primordial is exactly the right fit to help Social Cascade accelerate to the next stage of growth. We couldn’t be more excited to work with Jenn and Joe. Their thesis and investment design for early-stage companies fills a significant gap in the North Carolina startup ecosystem and we are honored to start working with them.”

We’re excited to partner with Social Cascade as they continue to expand their customer base and showcase the value their solution can provide.

Onward!

Jenn & Joe
