RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK — The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), a regional entrepreneurial support organization, is proud to announce that it has chosen 20 exceptional founders to receive scholarships for the highly anticipated Business of Software (BoS) Conference, taking place from October 2nd to 4th, 2023 in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. This marks a significant step in CED’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and supporting SaaS startups in the Southeast.

In 2022, CED took 10 promising companies to the BoS Conference in Boston. This trip was funded by a donation made by Bill Spruill, long-time attendee and advocate for the Business of Software Conference.  The outcome was nothing short of remarkable, with attendees gaining valuable insights and networking opportunities that fueled their growth and success. The overwhelming success of this endeavor led CED to formalize a partnership with Mark Littlewood and the BoS team to bring the conference to North Carolina, making it more accessible to scaling SaaS startups in the Southeastern United States.

Kelly Rowell, CEO of CED, expressed her excitement about the partnership, stating, “The Business of Software Conference embodies the same philosophy as CED, that founders are best supported by other founders. As support entities, CED and BoS are dedicated to creating spaces and places for that support to flourish. Our goal is to provide founders with the opportunity to learn from each other through shared experiences and build their professional networks.”
