As part of our ‘Meet Our Founders’ series today, we introduce Elaine Cordova, Founder and CEO of The Quick Space based in Charlotte, NC. The Quick Space is a platform that connects consumers to venues and vendors to streamline event planning.

Q: What are you most excited about right now? What keeps you up at night?

A: I am excited about all the possibilities and experiences this new venture will bring me and my team. My mind is always running, thinking of ways our app can help people and get communities motivated to celebrate easily.

Q: What have you enjoyed most about starting your own company?

A: I’ve enjoyed the creative process. It’s a beautiful thing to craft our ideas into existence and be in control of the business decisions. It’s also been exciting to problem solve and navigate through challenges, it’s a constant learning experience.

Q: What is your greatest fear as an entrepreneur?

A: My greatest fear as an entrepreneur is failing my team and customers. I don’t want to make mistakes that will affect the people supporting me the most.

While visiting the Charlotte, Elaine recommends:

• If someone were to visit my city, I would suggest breakfast at Roots Cafe, lunch at Haberdish and dinner at The Peppers. I would tell them to participate in the seasons public events like The Carolina Renaissance Festival or CLTShout. Finally, I would recommend a picnic at Freedom Park or a trail at Reedy Creek to soak in the beautiful nature of Charlotte.

• The best form of support for us right now is getting the word out on our existence and opening people’s mind to the possibility of renting out their space, by the hour, for events.
