As part of our ‘Meet Our Founders’ series today, we introduce Gloria Folaron, Founder of Leantime based in Mooresville, NC. Leantime is project management for the non-project manager.
Q: How will your NC IDEA grant funds advance your company?
A: They’re allowing us to do some additional testing around paid ads and messaging along kicking off some of our AI development and discovery. We’re really grateful for the opportunity and the value NC IDEA brings to us and the state.
Q: When did you know you wanted to take an entrepreneurial path?
A: I had already been a nurse for 6 years when I started getting frustrated with some of the other problems I was seeing that I couldn’t help in a shift.
I ended up at a startup weekend and realized that my natural problem solving skills. I’ve been working to master the startup triangle (timing, resources, idea) since.
Q: What is your favorite productivity app?
A: You know if I say anything but Leantime, I’d get in trouble… Just kidding.
In all seriousness, Leantime exists because the other productivity apps didn’t work for me — my background wasn’t in business when I started so I didn’t understand the tools and I didn’t know I had ADHD then. All biases excluded, it is my favorite because we’re changing the way we think of productivity and making it accessible for all of the brains we work with.
