As part of our ‘Meet Our Founders’ series today, we introduce Kate Frear, Founder and CEO of Joyntly based in Charlotte, NC. Joyntly is a human capital science and technology company that builds AI solutions for improving soft skills in the workplace.
Q: What problem are you trying to solve and what influenced you to start your company?
A: We want to accelerate the science-to-market cycle in human capital management. There are countless advances in behavioral science that can help people work better together, but it takes decades for those advances to go from academic journals, to business school textbooks, to leaders of organizations. We started Joyntly because we wanted to take the latest, most profound behavioral science insights and put them into action for leaders now.
Q: How will your NC IDEA grant funds advance your company?
A: The funds will help us launch our first product.
Q: What is your favorite local business to support?
A: Free Range Brewing!
