Today, we introduce Lavern Sellers Jr. , founder of BattleBuggies To Go™ in Fayetteville, NC. BattleBuggies To Go™ provides same-day grocery delivery to patrons authorized to shop at their local commissary while providing employment opportunities for military community.
Q: Lavern, what problem are you trying to solve and what influenced you to start your company?
A: I’m attempting to make Commissaries more convenient for military and veteran families authorized to shop. Ensuring they have the same level of convenience afforded to them as they would receive from an outside market. What has influenced me was the thought of member of the community being able to make an earring and save at the same time. It’s all about self-sustaining an earned benefit while also creating new flexible employment opportunities for members of the military and veterans community.
Q: What does the road ahead look like for your company?
A: The goal is to see BattleBuggies To Go servicing military family households across both North and South Carolina in the future.
Q: What is your greatest fear as an entrepreneur?
A: My greatest fear; like many others would be failure.
