As part of our ‘Meet Our Founders’ series today, we introduce Samantha Coffin, Owner of Matcha Nude based in Arden, NC. Matcha Nude is an ethical, sustainable, delicious and affordable organic Japanese matcha company packaged in 100% compostable packaging.
Q: When did you know you wanted to take an entrepreneurial path?
A: I became a health coach in 2020 after years of navigating my entire health journey. I quickly realized I wanted to touch more lives than I was able to one on one. I am still offering coaching, yet Matcha Nude allows me to support many more people in elevate their lives through intentional action, thousands more!
Q: What have you enjoyed most about starting your own company?
A: The community of entrepreneurs I have been supported by! This is also my #1 tip. FIND YOUR COMMUNITY. Surround yourself with like-minded entrepreneurs on a mission to change the world and you will have the best support system in every stage of your business. Mentors in this same capacity are game changers!
Q: What is your favorite productivity app?
A: My favorite productivity app is not an app at all but a pen and paper with just 3 things that if I accomplished them today, today would be amazing! As an entrepreneur, the list is never ending and creating realistic goals for myself as been the biggest challenge. That and having a partner that reminds me it’s time to turn off, wind down and get some sleep.
While visiting the Asheville area, Samantha recommends:
- Asheville has so much great food and great trails. There is something for everyone. Plant and Limones are two of my favorite restaurants yet I really don’t know if you can go wrong with your choices here. I would absolutely recommend a visit to the sauna house, a drive up the parkway and any of our amazing hikes!
