Free Programming on Varying Topics for Early Stage and Aspiring Entrepreneurs
DURHAM, NC – May 15, 2019 – NC IDEA, a private foundation committed to supporting entrepreneurial ambition and economic advancement in North Carolina, announced today that the organization will kick off its Summer Series offering free programming for entrepreneurs starting June 12.
NC IDEA’s 2019 Summer Series is a 9-week program series open to early stage and aspiring entrepreneurs designed to equip individuals with the tools and resources needed to build, launch and scale a successful business. Topics will vary across all aspects of starting and growing a business and will pull together some of the brightest minds in the region to share their expertise in their domain.
The following sessions will be held during the lunch hour, every Wednesday (except July 3), throughout the summer:
- June 12– Story Telling with Janice Smith, Founder and Storyteller, Big Dog Little Bed Productions
- June 19– Influencer Marketing with N.G. Gordon, Blogger and Creator, Dear Mishu Dad
- June 26– A/B Testing with Scott Sorensen, Co-Founder and Partner, Compete.Agency
- July 10– UX Design with Erik Johnson, Co-Founder and UX Designer, Purpose UX
- July 17– Websites that Work with BethAnne Dorn, Digital Strategist, Viget
- July 24– Optimizing Leads with Eric Boggs, CEO, Rev Boss/The Revenue Exchange
- July 31– Sales Management with Charlie Winn, Co-Founder and VP of Sales, liine (formerly Sales Sync)
- August 7– Fundraising with Tim McLoughlin, Partner, Cofounders Capital
- August 14– The Real Life of Entrepreneurship *Special Finale Program* (12:30pm – 5:30pm)
All of the sessions will take place in the NC IDEA LABS space on the American Tobacco Campus. Sessions will also be recorded and posted online afterwards for viewing and sharing. These sessions are for entrepreneurs only, no service providers please.
