Theralinq – SEED Fall 2025
Published June 10, 2026
As part of our ‘Meet Our Founders’ series today, we introduce Bethany Darragh, Chief Clinical Officer of Theralinq based in Raleigh, NC. Theralinq empowers families to make meaningful progress between therapy visits through a simple, guided home-exercise app designed for children with physical disabilities.
Q: What are you most excited about right now? What keeps you up at night?
A: I’m most excited about developing Theralinq as a revenue stream for therapy clinics and creating plans that allow them to offer a hybrid therapy model. With Medicaid cuts and insurance requiring more and more paperwork, clinics are under pressure to sustain their business while providing quality care. What keeps me up at night is figuring out how to make this model work for therapists and families alike, so clinicians can focus on outcomes, not bureaucracy. I want to help clinics thrive financially while expanding access and support for the children who need it most.
Q: What is one thing you wish you understood about entrepreneurship before you ever got started?
A: I’ve always been intimidated by entrepreneurship. For years, I kept my head down, focused on honing my craft as a therapist and becoming an expert in my field. I didn’t think I had the business know-how to start a company. Looking back, I wish I had realized sooner how valuable my experience, skills, and insight actually are. They’re exactly what make me capable of building something meaningful.
Q: Who do you look to for advice and mentorship?
A: I look to other therapists who have taken their clinical expertise into the startup world for advice and mentorship. There’s an immediate bond with other pediatric therapists. We speak the same language and share the joy of watching children with disabilities grow and thrive. Julia Franklin, an SLP at Cephable, has been a great example of navigating a startup while staying true to clinical values. Learning from their experiences and strategies helps me make Theralinq meaningful and sustainable for both families and therapists.
Q: What other passions do you have besides your business?
A: My two daughters, 11 and 8, are my greatest passion. They remind me how much we can learn from kids, how to be present and find joy in the ordinary, and how important the home unit is in shaping our future. I’m also involved in our Anglican church plant, helping build a community where people can grow and connect. Both my family and church keep me grounded and inspired every day.
