DocuLingo – MICRO Fall 2025
Published February 11, 2026
As part of our ‘Meet Our Founders’ series today, we introduce Taylor Wrice, Founder of DocuLingo based in Raleigh, NC. DocuLingo is a document-intelligence platform that translates, analyzes, and organizes contracts for global sports, agencies, and brands—powering faster decisions, compliance, and revenue while also adding AI-driven clarity.
Q: What problem are you trying to solve and what influenced you to start your company?
A: DocuLingo solves the problem of slow, confusing, and fragmented contract and document workflows in sports and global business. I’ve seen athletes, agents, and brands lose opportunities simply because documentation isn’t clear or accessible across languages. My experiences growing up navigating complicated systems and later working in the Pentagon taught me the importance of clarity. That motivated me to build a platform that translates, analyzes, and organizes documents instantly.
Q: What does the road ahead look like for your company?
A: The road ahead is focused on expanding partnerships with sports agencies, teams, and global brands. We are preparing DocuLingo Core+ to enter international markets where translation and contract intelligence are major pain points. Over the next year, we will turn pilots into full contracts and build a stronger ecosystem around athlete and agency operations. Long-term, our goal is to become the standard intelligence layer behind every contract, in sports and beyond.
Q: Who do you look to for advice and mentorship?
A: I look to experienced founders and operators who have built companies through real challenges, not just ideal conditions. I value mentors who give unfiltered feedback and genuinely care about long-term outcomes. I also lean on people in my network who understand the sports-tech landscape and the pressures of being a first-time founder. Their guidance helps me stay grounded and make smarter decisions.
Q: What other passions do you have besides your business?
A: Outside of building companies, I’m passionate about sports, especially hockey, tennis, and youth athletic development. I enjoy finding ways to give back to communities that remind me of where I grew up. I’m also deeply interested in technology, global culture, and exploring new regions like Africa and Latin America. Most importantly, I love spending time with my daughter and creating experiences she’ll remember forever.

If someone were visiting Raleigh/Durham, I’d tell them to catch a college game. This area lives and breathes sports, and each school has something elite:
• NC State — Dominant Men’s Wrestling, top-tier Men’s Basketball, and electric Football at Carter-Finley.
• UNC Chapel Hill — Iconic Men’s & Women’s Basketball, powerhouse Women’s Soccer, and fast-paced Lacrosse.
• Duke — Legendary Men’s Basketball, strong Women’s Basketball, and competitive Lacrosse.
Then grab food at local favorites like Brewery Bhavana, Beasley’s Chicken + Honey, Dame’s Chicken & Waffles, or catch a vibe at the Durham Food Hall which is our favorite.
