QoreInsights – SEED Fall 2025

As part of our ‘Meet Our Founders’ series today, we introduce Toni Shub, CEO and Founder of QoreInsights based in Waxhaw, NC. QoreInsights uses AI to transform classroom insights into teaching actions that deliver measurable impact, giving teachers real-time support and helping every student learn with confidence.

Q: What problem are you trying to solve and what influenced you to start your company?

A: We are solving the persistent problem that teachers do not have timely, actionable support connected to the real needs of their students. Despite districts investing heavily in professional learning, teachers rarely receive guidance that is personalized, practical, or tied to student growth. I founded QoreInsights after years of working directly with children and studying the factors that shape learning, where I saw how powerful it was when adults truly understood a student’s perspective and could act on it. That experience influenced me to create a tool that turns real classroom insight into meaningful action, helping teachers continuously improve while supporting every student’s progress.

Q: How will your NC IDEA grant funds advance your company?

A: NC IDEA grant funds will directly advance our company by accelerating product development, strengthening implementation support, and expanding our reach to more K–6 schools. The funding will allow us to add technical capacity, refine our AI-driven recommendation engine, and improve the teacher and administrator experience using feedback from current customers. It will also support customer success and outreach efforts so we can shorten long sales cycles and deepen our work with districts committed to continuous improvement. With this support, we will move from strong early traction to a more sustainable growth stage, positioning CEP to deliver greater impact for teachers and students across North Carolina and beyond.

Q: When did you know you wanted to take an entrepreneurial path?

A: I realized I wanted to pursue an entrepreneurial path early in my career when I kept seeing problems in education that didn’t have real solutions. As a pediatric occupational therapist, I often created tools or systems because the ones available didn’t meet children’s needs, and I saw how much impact the right solution could have. That experience led me to develop products, secure patents, and eventually build companies focused on helping learners succeed. Over time, I came to understand that entrepreneurship was simply the most powerful way for me to turn ideas into tools that make a meaningful difference for teachers and students.

Q: Who do you look to for advice and mentorship?

A: I look to people who challenge my thinking and help me grow as a leader. My closest source of advice is my cofounder, Dr. Anika Davis, whose experience in organizational strategy and implementation gives me clarity when I am navigating complex decisions. I also lean on advisors who bring deep expertise in education, marketing, scaling, product development, and AI, especially when we are shaping the next stage of CEP. Together, this group helps me stay focused on building a company that truly supports teachers and students.

While visiting Waxhaw, Toni recommends:

  • If someone were visiting, I’d send them to Anne Springs Close Greenway for a peaceful walk through the trails and lakes. Afterward, I’d recommend stopping by the Springs Farm Market for fresh homemade strawberry or peach ice cream and local produce. It’s simple, local, and one of my favorite ways to enjoy the area.

Support QoreInsights and Toni by:

  • The most helpful support is warm introductions to district leaders, K–6 schools, and angel investors who value impactful professional learning focused on continuous improvement. These connections help us open meaningful conversations about how CEP strengthens teaching, elevates student voice, and guides real-time instructional decisions. We also welcome opportunities to share our work with education networks and partners committed to helping teachers and students grow throughout the year.
