As part of our ‘Meet Our Founders’ series today, we introduce Mona Azarbayjani, CEO of ForesightCares based in Matthews, NC. ForesightCares is pioneering AI-driven solutions for healthier aging, prioritizing mobility and fall prevention for older adults.
Q: What problem are you trying to solve and what influenced you to start your company?
A:We are addressing the critical issue of motor function assessment, particularly for the aging population. Traditional methods are often costly, inconvenient, and not being done routinely. Our aim with ForesightCares is to make these assessments accessible, affordable, and comprehensive.
The inspiration to start our company stemmed from personal experiences with aging loved ones and the realization of how improved mobility assessments could drastically enhance their quality of life. We envision a future where everyone, regardless of age or economic background, has access to state-of- the-art technology that helps them track their motor function, leading to better health outcomes.
Q: What are you most excited about right now? What keeps you up at night?
A: What I’m Most Excited About: Every day, I’m reminded of the profound impact technology can have on improving our lives, especially for our older generation. With ForesightCares, the potential to revolutionize how we approach motor function assessment is palpable. As we embark on three pilot studies, the insights we gather will shape our platform and bring us closer to achieving our vision. These studies aren’t just validation; they are crucial steps to refine our understanding and enhance our application. The thought of making such assessments accessible, affordable, and even intuitive for patients, physicians, and healthcare.
Q: What have you enjoyed most about starting your own company?
A: Starting ForesightCares has been an enlightening journey of discovery, challenge, and fulfillment. What I’ve enjoyed most is the unparalleled freedom to shape a vision and see it come to life. Each day presents a new learning experience, whether it’s understanding our users’ needs more deeply, iterating on our product, or collaborating with an inspiring team who share the same passion. Moreover, there’s an indescribable satisfaction in knowing that our work has the potential to make a tangible difference in people’s lives, especially for our older generation.
Q: What other passions do you have besides your business?
A: I am deeply passionate about the arts, particularly playing the piano. There’s a certain tranquility and joy I derive from creating music. Traveling, has been a great passion of mine; exploring new cultures and landscapes enriches my worldview and provides a refreshing perspective.
