As part of our ‘Meet Our Founders’ series today, we introduce Ron Berry, CEO of Artificially Digital based in Cary, NC. Artificially Digital revolutionizes AI for B2Bs by automating data governance, advancing processing/validation, and enhancing analysis, empowering organizations to fully harness and maximize their data potential.
Q: What problem are you trying to solve and what influenced you to start your company?
A: We are trying to tackle the issues leading to the failure of most AI/ML projects: 1) poor data quality/governance; 2) ineffective and insufficient AI tools/solutions; and 3) poor analysis, which combined leads to poor outcomes.
Q: What are you most excited about right now? What keeps you up at night?
A: We are excited about the opportunity to apply our skills and do things differently. We are confident in our abilities and potential to excel and innovate in unique ways. Funding (ramen is getting old), customers getting our unique differentiators, and gaining traction keep us up at night.
Q: What does the road ahead look like for your company?
A: The road ahead looks very promising. The AI market is very green right now with a lot of opportunity ahead. The initial climb (gaining awareness, understanding of what we’re offering, and traction) are extremely hard. But we believe once we gain momentum, the skies the limit.
Q: How will your NC IDEA grant funds advance your company?
A: Securing patents, customer discovery, and driving early Marketing to build awareness.
Q: When did you know you wanted to take an entrepreneurial path?
A: Since I was in college. I just thought the correct thing to do was pursue a corporate lifestyle to be successful.
Q: What have you enjoyed most about starting your own company?
A: The ability to think and creatively hone and execute disruptive ideas.
Q: What is one thing you wish you understood about entrepreneurship before you ever got started?
A: This was what I’ve always been destined to do and to aggressively pursue it when I was younger.
Q: Who do you look to for advice and mentorship?
A: God, Mom and Uncle (former CEO)
Q: What other passions do you have besides your business?
A: International Travel, Sports, Music, and Reading/Writing
